InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask

Mud masks have been around for years but I have never actually used one myself. I think it’s probably because my skin has never really been that troublesome so I tend to get seduced by┬áthe brightly coloured masks (which probably contains lots of nasty chemicals) or the deliciously scented ones. Although I love using face masks, there have only been a few which have made any noticeable difference to my skin.

After trying the InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask, I’m not sure if I will ever go back to my usual colourful mask choices! The packaging looks smart and colourful but opening up the tub you find…. mud! It looks like mud, it smells like mud and it feels like mud. You need to apply a thin layer of the mask and wait for it to dry which usually takes around 10 minutes. As the mud dries, it starts to feel really tight on your skin so that helps you to judge when the mask is ready to be removed. To remove, just use warm water and a face cloth. After using the mask, my skin always feels really soft and amazingly clean. The first time I used it, I got a nasty surprise the next morning when I noticed two spots on my nose. I think they were caused by the mask drawing out all of the yuck from my skin. Since then, I’ve been using the mask around once a week and haven’t had any more breakouts. Each time I use it, I get the same clean feeling. So impressed! What’s your favourite face mask?
