Nicky wakes up in her crumpled car at the bottom of a ravine, in the dead of night and in the pouring rain. She has no idea how she got there and all she can think is that she has to save Vero. But where is Vero?
I will admit that it did take me a few chapters to get into this book. I think it was because of the disjointed storytelling at the start making it take longer than normal to get to know who’s who. Once I got things straight in my head then I really couldn’t put the book down. The jumpy style of the writing actually makes a lot of sense against the mysterious story line and the fact that the main character is suffering from memory loss. There are lots of twists in the plot and I liked that it kept me guessing literally all of the way to the end, but still managed to deliver lots of shock moments throughout the book. I’d highly recommend this book if you’re looking for an exciting, fast paced read!
