This Barefoot Botanicals Rosa Fina Cleansing Milk is one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used. It smells amazing and the packaging is lovely. The cleanser really suits my skin and makes it feel really clean and hydrated. It’s quite expensive (£20.95 from MyPure) but I would buy it again as I think it’s amazing!

A few weeks ago I ran out of moisturiser so decided to order the YesTo Carrots day cream from MyPure which is for normal to dry skin.

I really like the packaging and the moisturiser smells lovely but unfortunately I seem to be allergic to something in it – it gave me little itchy red patches on my face. I’ve only had an allergic reaction to a product once (the Dr Organic Rose Otto Cleansing Milk) and the reaction to the Yes To Carrots moisturiser was not as bad. I have no idea what it was that caused the reaction as MyPure only sells products without nasty chemicals. It’s a bit annoying as it looks like it should be a really good moisturiser! Has anyone else had a reaction to this day cream?
I’ve had a Munio Candela candle from MyPure before and I really loved it so thought I’d get another one. I went for the candle poured in a brown jar in the scent “Inspiration”. There was nothing on the website to tell me what “Inspiration” would smell like so it was really just a random choice! I like the little linen bag the candle comes in which makes it a bit different from other candles but unfortunately that’s the only thing I like.

The brown jar is quite ugly really and I seriously can’t stand the scent. I couldn’t even try to describe the smell – it’s like nothing I’ve ever smelt before! It’s a shame about the scent as I could have got over the ugly jar if I liked the smell. This candle has put me off buying any more Munio Candela candles from MyPure as £14 is a lot to spend on a candle if you are not sure you will like the smell. I think it would be a really good idea for MyPure to describe the scents so that you can get a better idea of what candle you will like!
I think I’m a bit obsessed with skin care at the moment. I’ve got a few moisturisers on the go at the moment and have also found a really lovely aftersun to take on holiday.
I think this may be the most hydrating body butter I’ve ever used. It doesn’t leave any sort of greasiness but it does take a little while to sink in, especially if you’re still not completely dry from a shower. It has a sweet scent, I would have said it was kind of floral but according to the website it is sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and shea butter. I love it! The Nurture Body Butter costs £8.45 for 200ml.
Living Nature Ultra Rich Body Cream
Some of the Living Nature products I’ve tried from MyPure have had a bit of an odd smell but this one is gorgeous. It contains active manuka honey so the scent is very, very sweet. It has a really thick texture but only takes a bit of rubbing to get it to sink in and once it’s sunk in it doesn’t feel greasy at all. It is actually quite similar to the Nurture Body Butter except that all of the ingredients are completely natural. However, it is quite a lot more expensive – £27 for 150ml!
Lovea Organic After Sun Lotion
I don’t think I really get the difference between after sun and just general body lotion – does anyone know?! I always buy after sun for holidays even though I don’t tend to burn much. I love the smell of this after sun! Again it sinks in really well and doesn’t feel greasy. I’m taking this to Thailand but it’s only 125ml which doesn’t seem like it will last for 3 weeks so I’ve got a little Boots after sun as well! The Lovea After Sun is entirely natural which I think is brilliant and it costs £8.99 for 125ml (currently on offer for £6.75) which is more than I’d usually pay but I wanted to try out a natural after sun.
I’ve just got home from my first exam and, instead of getting on with revision for Thursdays exam, I thought I’d take a break and write a quick post about my new cleanser!
Since finishing the amazing Dr Hauschka cleanser (read my review here), I’ve been using the Alva Sanddorn Cleansing Milk from MyPure which is much more affordable at £15 for 150ml (the Dr Hauschka one cost £15 for just 50ml). The Alva cleanser is just as good as lots of cleansers I’ve used in the past (but not quite as good as the Dr Hauschka one!) and has the added bonus of being brilliant at removing eye makeup.
If anyone has used the Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser then the Alva one is, I think, very similar. For that reason, I’m not sure if I’d buy the Alva cleanser again as the Avene one is much cheaper and has slightly nicer packaging! It depends what you look for though as the Alva cleanser is completely free from nasty chemicals and is part of their anti aging range. While the Avene cleanser is free from parabens, it does contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which, according to the MyPure chemical checklist, can irritate eyes, cause eczema, skin irritation and dry skin.
Has anyone tried any of these cleansers? Which do you prefer?

My latest body moisturiser is a body balm from Lovea. I’m not sure why it’s called a body balm because it’s not a balm… it’s more like a really light body butter. The texture is really nice and absorbs quickly so is good for the sunny weather we’ve been having lately. I love the smell but it is very sweet so I don’t think it will be to everyones taste. Lovea products contain only natural ingredients and you can buy them from MyPure. The body balm costs £6.49 which I think is a great price for such a good product!
The Comvita Replenishing Body Lotion is suitable for all skin types and contains Manuka Honey which is great for skin. It has a unique scent with notes of cinnamon which I really like. It is a brilliant moisturiser but does take a bit of rubbing to make it sink in properly.

All Comvita products are free from parabens and other nasty chemicals. You can buy this body lotion from MyPure and it costs £16 for 200ml.
To tell you the truth I’ve been a little disappointed by this Gwdihw Twinkle Toes Foot Balm. I know it’s a balm and should be quite hard but it’s so solid that I literally have to scrape at it to get anything out! This means that it takes quite a while to apply. I also can’t say I’ve noticed any difference to my feet since I started using it. It smells quite nice and only contains natural stuff but other than that I can’t really see many other positives.
If you do want to try this Foot Balm out for yourself then you can buy it from MyPure for £4.49.
