This year I decided to join the university Food Society with a few friends. Basically, with the Food Society, we get a discount
at Bordeaux Quay (voted Bristol’s best restaurant 2010), free cooking lessons, and other food related events.
Our first event this week was a tasting session at Bordeux Quay which is not only a restaurant but also a brasserie, wine bar, deli and bakery. We got to try 3 different pasta dishes (all of them delicious!) with wine matched to each one. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and relaxed and the staff were really friendly. We had a brilliant time and are looking forward to visiting Bordeux Quay again! The prices are higher than I would usually pay seeing as I’m a student but the food was so good that I think it’s worth it, especially with our Food Society discount!
