Blend Collective Unwinding Candle

I think this might just be one of the nicest smelling candles I’ve ever owned!  It is from the Unwinding range by Blend Collective and is a mixture of sandalwood, frankincense, cedarwood and neroli.

The scent is quite strong which is good as I like to be able to actually smell my scented candles.  The candle has an estimated burn time of 30 hours, is made from 100% pure essential oils and no petroleum, paraffin wax or synthetic fragrances.  The candle costs £25 and is available online.  It is quite expensive but is definitely worth it for a little bit of luxury!

Munio Candela Relaxation

When I noticed that MyPure sold candles I just had to try one.  The Munio Candela candles are soy fragranced with 100% essential oils.  I went for the Relaxation candle which is poured in a paint pot.  Soy candles are don’t produce the soot that normal candles give off so are much better for you and they also burn for 50% longer.

When I ordered the candle, I was expecting it to have maybe a lavender scent but when it arrived, to be honest, I was slightly put off by the smell (don’t ask me what it smells of – I can’t work it out!).  I was also surprised by the wick which is oddly shaped and made from wood.

Even though I wasn’t overly keen on the smell, I wasn’t about to waste £23 worth of candle, so I lit it anyway.  I seriously can’t work out what it smells like but it seems to smell entirely different once it’s lit!  I really love this candle and I think it’s worth spending a bit more on soy candles.  This one looks really unique as well and should burn for around 50 hours.

Air Wick Colour Change Candle

I’ve been waiting ages to use my Air Wick Colour Change Candle because it smells so Christmassy!  It’s been sitting in my cupboard but I made myself wait until after my birthday (that was on Tuesday) before I opened it.

We lit the candle last night and I really really love it!  It smells amazing – mulled wine and cinnamon apple – and it’s so pretty with the colour change.  When it’s not lit the wax is just white and it comes in a plain frosted glass holder so will fit in with any colour your room is decorated.

You can buy the candle in most supermarkets and it’s currently on offer at ASDA for just £3.  I might just go and buy another one…….

Rustic Rose Pillar Candle

Over Christmas I had an Orange and Cinnamon candle tin from the St Eval Candle Company which smelled amazing.  My second candle from the same company is the Rustic Rose Pillar Candle which also smells gorgeous.  It costs £11 and should burn for 90 hours.  I would definitely recommend it especially with Valentine’s Day coming up!

St Eval Candle Company has so many lovely candles you’re sure to find something.  They have tealights, pillar candles, candles in tins or glasses with different colours and patterns as well as a few outdoor candles and even garden flares!  Although they are quite expensive compared to places like IKEA, it’s worth it as they smell more natural somehow and don’t give off the soot you can get from cheaper candles.

You can either buy online or from one of the stockists listed here.

Decléor Candle Trio

You’ve probably heard of Decléor, a company selling skincare products?  When I had the only facial I’ve ever had, the therapist used Decléor products and they were really good.  I didn’t realise that they sold anything other than skincare products but I’ve got this lovely gift set of three scented candles.  The scents are amber, neroli and cedar which are quite unusual.  (Neroli is apparently an essential oil which comes from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree.)  You can burn the candles either separately or together to get a range of different scents.  They come in a dark purple box and the trio of candles are in purple holders, each of which is the perfect size to house a tealight once the original candle is burnt.  The gift set is quite expensive at £21.75 but would make the perfect gift for a candle lover.

St Eval Candle Company

This Orange & Cinnamon candle by the St Eval Candle Company has got to be the most Christmassy candle ever!  It comes in a tin decorated with holly and Father Christmas with a big bag of presents.  I really love the smell which makes it feel like Christmas time even now in October – I can’t wait to be able to use it nearer to Christmas.  You can get the Christmas Tin in two other scents as well – Figgy Pudding and Inspiritus which is a mix of spices including nutmeg & cloves.

The St Eval Candle Company is based in Cornwall where it makes candles using traditional methods and materials from renewable sources whenever possible.  All of the packaging is sourced from recycled materials.  At £11.40 I would definitely recommend buying one of these Christmas Tins to keep the house smelling lovely in the run up Christmas!
