NOTW: Summer Glitter Tips

I think this is one of my favourite designs I’ve worn, it’s so bright and summery!

I used my new yellow 17 polish for the base with Nubar Vogue Vert, Elf Purple Dream and Body Collection Crystal Suede in Midnight Blue on the tips.  I topped the tips with Nubar Hologram Glitter.  Do you like it?

NOTW: Love Hearts

I’ve been so busy this week.  I’ve got lectures 9 till 6, three pieces of coursework due this week and one due on Tuesday.  I’ve had literally no time to blog so here’s a quick NOTW to keep you going (I’ve also not been home in the daylight all week so the photos aren’t brilliant)!

This took me about 10 minutes so not too long.  I’m wearing one coat of a polish from Nicole by OPI called It’s Possible and have drawn hearts on freehand using a Body Collection red shade.  The hearts were really easy to do and you can practice on a piece of paper first– it’s just two lines basically.  I’m quite pleased with them seeing as they only took 10 minutes!  Do you like them?

NOTW: Butterflies

For my nails this week I have used a Miners polish called Plum with some Body Collection stickers.  They were really quick and easy to do.  What do you think?

Glittery Nails

I’ve been a bit obsessed with my nail glitter recently!  Here I’ve used my Body Collection Crystal Suede in Midnight Blue and topped it off with silver and purple glitter.  Do you like it?

Nail Stickers

Here I’ve used some Body Collection nail stickers over a few coats of Nails Inc Warwick Avenue.  What do you think?

Body Collection Nail Polish

I was sent this Body Collection nail varnish to review a few months ago but managed to forget about it until now.  I’ve also forgotten who sent it to me and even after looking on Google I can’t find it for sale anywhere!  I still want to show it to you as I really love the Autumn colour so if anyone recognises the bottle please let me know!

I’ve used two coats as after one it was still slightly patchy but the consistency is easy to apply and I love the way it looks different colours in different lights.  It’s quite a unique colour – I definitely haven’t got anything else similar.  It’s really hard to photograph and is actually more red in real life!

Body Collection Nail Art Stickers

I’m in Glasgow at the moment staying with some of Nick’s family but thought I’d quickly show you how I’ve done my nails this week.

I’ve used No 7 Stay Perfect in Stand Back which is a nice bright blue and also put some Body Collection stickers on the top.  The stickers cost only £1.29 and include a few different patterns.  In case the photos aren’t very clear, I’ve got some little white flowers and green butterflies on.  The stickers stay put really well if you use a top coat over them.  What do you think?

Not sure when I’ll have time to blog next.  We’re going to The Fringe in Edinburgh on Monday which should be good.  We wanted to see Fascinating Aida…..

…. But they’ve sold out so we are going to see some other comedy performances.  I’ll update you in a few days!

Body Collection Sultry Eyes

After the disaster that was the Technic eye powder from LoveThyMakeUp, I wasn’t really sure I wanted to try another eye shadow from the same website.  However, the Body Collection eye shadow is a thousand times better!  There are three different pallets to choose from of which I have Mocha, three shades of brown.  The eye shadows are nice and soft – easy to apply but not too powdery.  No, they aren’t the best eye shadows in the world, but they are brilliant considering they only cost £1.99.

Body Collection Crystal Suede Nail Varnish

I love the colour of this Body Collection Midnight Blue nail varnish.  It is really hard to photograph below as it looks much glitterier in real life!  In some lights there you can also see some dark purple flecks.

I found the nail varnish quite hard to apply as the brush is quite thick and even though I’m usually quite good at putting on nail varnish, this time I managed to make a massive mess, getting blue on the skin all around my nails!  I had to apply it very slowly!  The nail varnish dries pretty quickly but you need at least two coats so that it doesn’t look patchy.  Before I applied the top coat, the varnish was really glittery but quite a dull navy blue colour.  Once the top coat was on, the blue seemed to get darker and looked much shinier.  The photo shows the nail varnish with a top coat.  I really liked the effect without the top coat but I always manage to chip my nails really quickly so a top coat is essential for me as it means I don’t have to redo my nails every day!

Even though I found this varnish a little tricky to apply I would buy it again as it is such good value at £2.99 and I really do love the colour.  It just isn’t the nail varnish to use when you’re in a rush!
