Comvita Replenishing Body Lotion

The Comvita Replenishing Body Lotion is suitable for all skin types and contains Manuka Honey which is great for skin.  It has a unique scent with notes of cinnamon which I really like.  It is a brilliant moisturiser but does take a bit of rubbing to make it sink in properly.

All Comvita products are free from parabens and other nasty chemicals.  You can buy this body lotion from MyPure and it costs £16 for 200ml.

Lovea Bio Clay Face Mask

I’m so impressed with this Lovea face mask.  I’d go as far as to say that it’s the best one I’ve ever used!  It is really easy to apply an even layer and it just leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft.  It doesn’t particularly smell of anything and the packaging isn’t really anything special but the mask itself seems to work wonders for my skin.  I rarely use face masks as I don’t tend to find they do much for my but I can see myself using this one up pretty fast!

The Lovea Purifying Face Mask comes in three varieties; pink clay for sensitive skin (this is the one I have), green clay for oily skin and yellow clay for dry skin.  It is entirely natural and costs £6.99 for 75ml from MyPure.

Gwdihw Twinkle Toes Foot Balm

To tell you the truth I’ve been a little disappointed by this Gwdihw Twinkle Toes Foot Balm.  I know it’s a balm and should be quite hard but it’s so solid that I literally have to scrape at it to get anything out!  This means that it takes quite a while to apply.  I also can’t say I’ve noticed any difference to my feet since I started using it.  It smells quite nice and only contains natural stuff but other than that I can’t really see many other positives.

If you do want to try this Foot Balm out for yourself then you can buy it from MyPure for £4.49.

Munio Candela Relaxation

When I noticed that MyPure sold candles I just had to try one.  The Munio Candela candles are soy fragranced with 100% essential oils.  I went for the Relaxation candle which is poured in a paint pot.  Soy candles are don’t produce the soot that normal candles give off so are much better for you and they also burn for 50% longer.

When I ordered the candle, I was expecting it to have maybe a lavender scent but when it arrived, to be honest, I was slightly put off by the smell (don’t ask me what it smells of – I can’t work it out!).  I was also surprised by the wick which is oddly shaped and made from wood.

Even though I wasn’t overly keen on the smell, I wasn’t about to waste £23 worth of candle, so I lit it anyway.  I seriously can’t work out what it smells like but it seems to smell entirely different once it’s lit!  I really love this candle and I think it’s worth spending a bit more on soy candles.  This one looks really unique as well and should burn for around 50 hours.

Gwdihw

This month I’ve been using a couple of products from Gwdihw sold by MyPure.  Gwdihw is based in Anglesey and their products are made using locally grown herbs.

The first product I tried is a cuticle balm called Nail Wizard.  It comes in a small metal tin (25g) with a cute design on the front.  The balm has a fresh lemony smell and is really good for moisturising your hands and keeping your cuticles soft and looked after.  The balm costs £4.49 and it’s definitely worth it as you only need a small amount to moisturise all ten fingers!

I’m not so keen on the second product I tried.  I chose the Muscle Soother to try and stop my muscles aching (obviously!) after pilates and I thought Nick might want to use it sometimes after his mammoth swimming sessions.  I love the packaging and the bright blue colour but that’s about all that I do love.  I really can’t stand the smell which is a mixture of menthol, witch hazel and some sort of herb.  I’ve never used a muscle soother before so maybe it’s just me but I expected it to maybe warm up when applied but it does the opposite and is really, really cold!  I haven’t noticed any difference in how achy my muscles are after using it either.  The Muscle Soother costs £10.95 from MyPure.

Like everything else sold by MyPure, the ingredients are natural so no sulphates, parabens etc.  Even though I didn’t get on with the Muscle Soother I’ll definitely try some other products by Gwdihw.

Acorelle White Orchid Body Milk

My first product from MyPure this month is the Acorelle White Orchid Body Milk.  I was originally going to get the Acorelle Rose Body Milk but I’m really glad I decided on the White Orchid instead as I really love the light, flowery, slightly spicy smell.

The body milk is quickly absorbed and leaves my skin smooth and hydrated.  It isn’t greasy at all and is the perfect consistency.  Not too thin and not so thick it gets stuck in the pump.  Now I’ve tried the body milk, I’m seriously considering trying the eau de parfum and/or shower gel from the White Orchid range.  Has anyone else used the eau de parfums from Acorelle?  I’ve never tried a natural perfume so I’m not really sure what to expect?

The Acorelle White Orchid Body Milk costs £12.90 for 200ml from MyPure and is free from sulphates, parabens and phthalates.

A’kin Rose de Mai Face Cream

I love my new A’kin face cream, the Rose de Mai Anti-Oxidant Day Cream.  As you would expect from the name, it has the lovely scent of roses and like all A’kin products it’s free from parabens and sulphates.

The moisturiser has a nice creamy texture but is absorbed quickly into my skin and doesn’t leave any stickiness.  This A’kin face cream has been review load of times so click here to read more if you are in any doubt about trying it.  As far as I can see there are no bad reviews and, after using it myself, I can definitely see why!

Comvita Daily Spa Body Wash

I’ve had three MyPure products to review this month and the Comvita Daily Spa Body Wash is the only one which has been slightly disappointing.  I really like the packaging but there’s nothing special about the actual body wash.

It doesn’t really smell of anything much and doesn’t lather very well at all.  It does its job as a body wash but for £17 I would expect it to feel and smell much more luxurious.  I think I was expecting it to be better than it was after reading reviews of other Comvita products here – they are mostly positive so I won’t judge the brand until I’ve tried some more of their products!

Radius Toothbrush

This month I’ve been trying out the Radius Original Toothbrush from MyPure.

The handle is designed so that you brush your teeth at the dentist recommended 45 degree angle.  I’ve got the left handed version but obviously you can get a right handed one as well!  The head is much much bigger than a normal toothbrush which means it cleans your gums as well as your teeth.  The bristles on the toothbrush don’t absorb water meaning they last 9 months instead of 3.

Once I’d got used to the bigger toothbrush head, I really liked using this toothbrush as I felt it cleaned my teeth really well and wasn’t harsh on my gums.

I usually use an electric toothbrush which cleans my teeth amazingly well so I won’t stop using that in favour of a Radius toothbrush, but if I still used a manual brush I would definitely be switching to this!

Nature’s Collection Soap Trio

The first thing I noticed about these soaps when I opened the packet was the gorgeous smell.  The pack contains three 70g soaps: Kumerahou & Cinnamon, Manuka Honey & Calendula Petal and Manuka Oil & Clay.  I really like the packaging which is bright, eyecatching and looks much more special than your usual supermarket soaps, which I did expect for the price of £10.72!

I find that the soaps are really moisturising which is brilliant as some soaps I’ve bought in the past have dried my skin out quite a lot.  They lather very well and the smell seems to get even stronger when they are wet which is great.

The set is quite expensive but I think it would make a lovely gift or a special one-off for yourself!  You can buy the Living Nature Nature’s Collection Soap Trio from MyPure.
